Blasts From The Past
Coming soon to this blog, short-form humor excerpts from my previously published work. Some of this will be freely offered, other bits will be available for a small fee.
These are family-friendly stories, and many of them have nuggets of truth in them. I’m still working on newer material, and that will be here at times, too. The latter items are a bit tricky because some publications don’t want anything that has already appeared elsewhere. They want first-rights. So, I’ll be shopping my newest stuff about a bit.
That said, if you’re interested in seeing my newest material, for free, I have a proposition. I’m putting together a writing/critique group called “the first readers club,” and I’m looking for feedback on 1958my work-in-progress. If you, too, are a writer, I’m happy to trade pages with you under certain conditions. Basically, I want to be working with people who are producing stories and pieces that I don’t mind reading, no graphic porn or violence, and I’d prefer to read short-form humor. But I’m flexible on that last point, and I’m even willing to read heavy dramatic or non-fiction material if it speaks to social justice.
Let me know if you’d like to collaborate. If I get a bigger response than I can handle, then I’ll think about organizing critique groups.
Best wishes to all. Stay safe, and try to have some fun. Hard to do in these dark times.
